The devastation that Hurricane Florence has brought upon our neighbors in the Carolinas and Virginia over the last week has been heartbreaking to watch.
The heavy rains and extreme flooding have taken the lives of 32 people in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The storm has caused more than $20 billion in property and economic damage and an estimated 500,000 homes and businesses are still without power. Even worse, more flooding is expected. We are praying for the many thousands of families who have suffered through this terrible storm.
As the rescue and recovery efforts continue, the American Red Cross has been among the most experienced organizations providing aid and coordinating emergency response.
Please consider supporting the Red Cross Hurricane Florence relief efforts, which have been providing critical supplies and support to those in need.
The American Red Cross has been one of our country’s most important charitable organizations for the last 137 years. Its expertise at disaster relief is unparalleled, responding to nearly 64,000 disasters each year.
Please join us this month in assisting those affected by Hurricane Florence through the American Red Cross, and please continue to keep all those in the Carolinas and Virginia in your thoughts and prayers.
