Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D.) is using dire circumstances — the coronavirus pandemic — to “arbitrarily infringe on the freedoms” of those she claims to govern. Politicians like Whitmer are singlehandedly picking winners and losers with executive orders. “As a nation, we understand the severity of the health crisis we now face, but the law should never be used to persecute an individual’s freedom nor to prosecute Americans operating legal businesses to support their families.” Georgia, in contrast, has handled the crisis much better. Importantly, the State Senate and House have been partners in everything that Gov. Brian Kemp (R.) has done. Indeed, “public health state of emergencies must have the concurrence of the General Assembly,” and “the legislature must maintain the right to terminate the state of emergency at any time.” Georgia has shown an effective response to the pandemic without implementing tyranny.

America’s Dependence on Chinese Communist Party Is the Real Health Crisis

The coronavirus pandemic has revealed how much of managing a disease depends on the quality of Chinese manufactured medications and personal protective equipment. Around the world, much of China’s supplies have been defective, failing safety standards. Yet, we rely on China for 97 percent of our antibiotics, and 80 percent of the active pharmaceutical ingredients in drugs made in the US come from China and India. Some of these products have had to be removed from the shelves because of their poor quality. “The concern extends far beyond food and medicine. Chinese firms and investors own a controlling majority in nearly 2,400 US companies.” The coronavirus has helped expose how dependent we’ve become on Beijing. “Our dependence on China is the danger. The opportunity is for America to reclaim its sovereignty and refuse China’s export of harm and influence in America.”

Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) has introduced a resolution that, if passed, would condemn calling the coronavirus the “Chinese virus” or the “Wuhan virus” as being racist. The resolution would echo a talking point that the Chinese Communist Party has used to deflect blame for its role in spreading the virus, which originated in Wuhan, China. Several diseases have been named after their place of origin, however — such as the West Nile Virus and Lyme Disease. Many people in the mainstream media also called the coronavirus the “Chinese virus” or the “Wuhan virus” during the first few months of the outbreak.
China is pushing its global influence to deflect any blame or responsibility for the COVID-19 outbreak. – Newt
China’s ‘Wolf Warrior’ Diplomats Are Ready to Fight

“The Chinese Foreign Ministry has adopted an aggressive new stance, spurred by Beijing’s push to increase its global influence.” Chinese diplomats around the world are being more brash in newsprint, on social media, and in person. “China’s state media describe it as a ‘Wolf Warrior’ ethos.” Amid the coronavirus, which has put the Chinese Communist Party on the defensive, the Foreign Ministry has been more aggressive. “Much of the growing assertiveness is aimed at stoking national pride back home … and rebalancing the international order in ways that promote the party’s interests.” China has also tried to increase its influence in international institutions at America’s expense. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party has increased the party’s control over the Foreign Ministry.

Media Knives Out for Catherine Herridge — for Reporting Obamagate Straight

Catherine Herridge, a reporter for CBS News who focuses on national security, has dogged determination and sticks to the facts. “When it came to the ‘collusion’ hoax, she dared to let the truth guide her. Likewise, with her reporting into government misconduct in the prosecution of President Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, most of her colleagues reveled in collusion falsehoods — and ignored FBI wrongdoing. She did the opposite.” This has put a target on Herridge’s back. By refusing to conform and instead exposing documents that undermine the narrative that President Trump colluded with Russia, she has lost friends in Washington and the larger media. Fellow journalists and mouthpieces for Joe Biden’s campaign have attacked Herridge, who simply reported the facts rather than distorted them to serve an anti-Trump narrative. “Establishment reporters and editors” are punishing their own “for questioning liberal orthodoxies — or following the facts to the unpopular conclusions.”
