Poll Results: How do you view the current COVID-19 situation

On July 15 we asked, “How do you view the current COVID-19 situation?” Readers chose between “Things are improving – the death rate is falling”, “Things are getting worse – cases are on the rise” and “I am not sure.” A total of 833 readers responded with a majority of 648 votes for “things are improving.” Only 65 respondents felt that things are getting worse and 120 are not sure.

In the age of the 24-hour news cycle it can be difficult to discern who is reporting the most accurate and up-to-date information. Though an increase in cases across the United States has been reported, it appears that the severity of the illness has decreased. The results of our poll reveal most of our readers who responded remain positive in the face of uncertainty.
