Poll Results: Following the conventions, what is your most concerning issue heading towards the election?

Last week, we asked readers “Following the conventions, what is your most concerning issue heading towards the election?” With a total of 758 responses, readers have voiced their opinions. The most concerning issue by far was “Election integrity” with 59.89% (454 readers) of the vote.

“Violence in our cities” came in a distant second, taking 21.77% (165 readers) of the vote. This was followed by anxiety over “The economy and jobs” and “Threat from China” with 10.82% (82 readers) and 6.07% (46 readers) respectively. Finally, 1.45% (11 readers) felt that “COVID-19” was their biggest concern for the coming months.

With so many diverse issues in the minds of Americans, it is interesting to see how respondents split their votes. It may be surprising to some to see COVID-19 as the least of readers’ concerns. The months leading up to the election will no doubt feature plenty of discussion on all of these problems.
