Poll Results: Would you take a vaccine today if offered?

Earlier this week, we asked readers “With the UK about to release the first round of COVID-19 vaccines, would you take a vaccine today if offered?” A total of 116 readers responded with their thoughts on this important issue.

It appears that respondents are split on the question of vaccine administration. Just over half said that “yes” they would take a vaccine right now, making up 58.62 percent (68 readers) of the vote. The remaining voters stated that “no” they would not currently take a vaccine with 41.38 percent (48 readers).

The entire world has anxiously awaited a vaccine for COVID-19 since many areas of life shut down and were altered at the start of 2020. The UK is currently beginning to administer Pfizer’s vaccine, while the FDA finalizes the vaccine’s authorization in the US. Along with Pfizer, other companies, such as Moderna, are hard at work on other COVID-19 vaccines with the help of President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed funding program. It will be interesting to see how quickly rollout of these vaccines might occur and how the general public will react to the process.
