Newt Gingrich Audio Update: What Twitter and Facebook Suppression Means for the Future

While Democrats and their media allies talk about the need for the country to come together and have more bipartisanship, it’s very clear that we are moving in the opposite direction. It is made clearer when Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer talk about moving forward with another impeachment as early as this coming Monday — and when Twitter and Facebook ban a President of the United States for life. What you see is a hardening of the system.  We are on a path to an even more divided country in which people would have separate methods of communicating with each other, and the tribalism will only deepen and worsen. This is not going to make the country easier to govern. You can’t suppress the voices and opinions of 74 million people. And I think it is an enormous mistake to go down this road, but it seems to be the road that the left has chosen. This is why I just did a podcast called “bipartisan baloney.” When Democrats say let’s be bipartisan, they simply mean that conservatives should surrender. They don’t mean let’s talk it out, or let’s find common ground, or let’s work together. They mean “do what we say.”We are in one of the most troubling times as I can remember in my lifetime.

While people talked about coming together and more bipartisanship particularly during the immediate emotional reaction to the assault on the Capital. It’s very clear that we’re moving in the opposite direction. When Nancy Pelosi talks about moving impeachment as early as this coming Monday, when Schumer the Democratic leader in the Senate joins her. When Twitter and Facebook ban a President of the United States for life, what you see as a hardening of the system. And what people don’t realize is that for example, Twitter and Facebook, may force President Trump and his allies to create a totally new competitive system and they have the resources to do that. Which would then of course, lead to an even more divided country in which people would have totally separate methods of communicating with each other and the tribalism would deepen and get worse. My sense is that this is all going get much worse. That the Democrats in the House, when they adopted the new rules, which eliminate the review of house Republicans, right to offer an amendment, and which changes the language of America by taking out 29 words like mother, father, son, daughter, brother, or sister. These are declarations of radicalism that are virtually a declaration of war on Western civilization. And I think this is all going to get tougher, not better. I have no idea at what point, frankly, it may affect us because I think there may well be a Silicon Valley decision to simply go out and methodically eliminate every conservative from an ability to communicate. I mean, I think we have no idea what this could lead to. And I also think that people who are pushing this have no idea what they’re potentially creating. This is not going to make the country easier to govern. You can’t suppress 74 million people. And I think that is an enormous mistake to go down this road, but it seems to be the road that the left has chosen, which is why I just did a podcast on bipartisan baloney. When they say by let’s be bipartisan, they mean conservatives should surrender. They don’t mean let’s talk it out. Let’s find a common ground. Let’s work together. They mean do what I say it’s a troubling at times as I can remember in my lifetime, and I will keep reporting to you about it as it develops.
