South Dakota has quickly become a leader in the nation’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, relying largely on private sector decisions, pre-existing health care delivery plans, and streamlining efforts. That is, instead of creating new state bureaucracy programs as states like New York have, South Dakota has removed government red tape — and, so far, it has been a success story. This is just one of many actions taken by Big Tech in the days following the storming of the Capitol building to silence the political right. An astounding 74 percent believe their freedom of speech is threatened, especially after Big tech’s recent actions to ban President Trump from using his personal Twitter. The future of Big Tech and the internet is set to be debated within a Democrat-controlled Congress and under a Biden administration. Rhan Washington Times The similarities between the United States and the former communist bloc in eastern Europe are both striking and disconcerting. The threat to free speech in America is real because of oligopolies facilitating censorship. With Big Tech controlling who has access to what on the internet, the flow of information in our society and control of the 21st century version of the public square are both in the hands of a select few titans of tech. Those who disagree with the left-wing consensus will live in fear of punishment. Twitter and Facebook banning President Trump is just one example. Apple, Google, and Amazon banning Parler is another. The best way to circumvent these powerful few is for the freedom-loving wealthy Americans and other groups to purchase various newspapers and media to ensure a diversity of opinions in the United States.
