Poll Results: COVID-19 Vaccine Delays and Obstacles

Last week, we asked readers, “Have you experienced delays or other obstacles receiving your COVID-19 vaccine?” A total of 584 readers voiced their thoughts, and the results are now in!

The majority of contributors stated that they had experienced some kind of obstacle in getting their vaccine representing 54.28 percent of the vote (317 readers). Remaining voters were roughly split between not encountering any delays, with 20.72 percent (121 readers), and those who would be declining to get a vaccine, with 25 percent (146 readers).

Currently, several vaccine options are available around the country, yet their rollout has been slow and complicated for many. Right now, less than 10 percent of the United States has received both vaccine doses according to the New York Times. A number of people still worry that the vaccines haven’t undergone enough testing to be safe yet. It will be interesting to see what adjustments the federal government and states make to quicken the process, and if vaccines become required anywhere in the future.
