Three private space companies – Blue Orgin, Dynetics, and SpaceX – are competing as part of NASA’s Artemis program to carry astronauts back to the surface of the moon. SpaceX successfully launched and landed their SN 10 rocket ship, but eight minutes later it exploded. The company already has plans to test their next prototype – SN 11 – soon.
SpaceX has plans to fly its Starship to Earth’s orbit this year and a crew of private citizens around the moon by 2023. It is amazing to see these private companies innovate space travel. The future is bright for SpaceX and we are excited to see what is to come.
