In 2020, global CO2 emission level dropped nearly 7 percent due to worldwide lockdowns. But scientists say to fulfill the goals of the Paris Agreement, emissions must fall to global lockdown levels every two years.
As economies recover, scientists believe governments must make laws focused on emissions. Corinne Le Quéré, lead author of the study, said “it can’t be about one law or policy, it has to be put at the heart of all policy.”
Democrats have certainly made emissions the heart of their policies, often disregarding American workers.
