Charity of the Month: Autism Society

The Gingrich Foundation

In honor of National Autism Awareness Month, the Gingrich Foundation is proud to recognize the Autism Society as its April Charity of the Month.

The challenge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has grown at an alarming rate in the last few decades. In fact, it is the nation’s fastest growing developmental disability.  One in 54 children born today are expected to develop some form of ASD.  In 2004, the rate was one in 125 children.  An estimated 3.5 million Americans live on the spectrum, and the numbers are only growing.

The Autism Society is the nation’s preeminent organization dedicated to improving the lives of all individuals affected by ASD.

Founded in 1965, the Autism Society has worked to promote awareness and provide resources for those living with the disorder and their loved ones.  With partners across the United States, the Autism Society has led the way in increasing public understanding about autism — knowledge that can be critical for early diagnosis.

The organization is a constant advocate for the best services and care for affected individuals and families.  This has been especially true throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Autism Society has continued its work to protect this vulnerable population and ensure that those living with ASD have the resources they need to get through this difficult time

The Autism Society understands the potential of each individual on the spectrum.  It does vital work to improve the lives and promote the dignity of everyone affected by ASD.

Please join the Gingrich Foundation in supporting the Autism Society.
