Hurricane Ida hit the greater New Orleans region sixteen years to the day as Hurricane Katrina. Hurricanes have a devastating effect on lives and businesses – not just the day of the storm but the weeks thereafter. Reuters reports that oil refineries in the region could take several weeks before power and water are restored. What will this do to the price of gas?
