73 Immigrants Discovered in Stash Houses in Upscale D.C. Neighborhood 

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser recently requested the National Guard after more than 4,000 illegal border crossers made their way to the nation’s capital. Amid this news, 73 people in the country illegally, including adults and children, were found in stash houses in a wealthy part of Washington, D.C.  

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) records show the immigrants were discovered in a raid in which agents searched six stash houses in D.C. Stash houses are often concentrated on or near the United States’ southern border. 

The ICE report revealed human smugglers linked to Mexican drug cartels built an expansive smuggling route for smuggling illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C.
