Anti-Semitic Attack Victim’s Father Condemns Politicians

The father of Joseph Borgen, who was brutally beaten in an anti-Semitic attack in May 2021, criticized Jewish Democrat leaders Rep. Jerry Nadler and Sen. Chuck Schumer during a House Judiciary Committee hearing. The father expressed his anger and frustration at the lenient policies of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has faced criticism for his decision to stop prosecuting certain low-level offenses.

He also accused Nadler and Schumer of failing to hold Bragg accountable for his actions and allowing him to implement policies that endanger the public. The victim’s father used his testimony to call for greater accountability in the criminal justice system.

Protesters, mostly opposed to the GOP-led hearing, disrupted the House Judiciary Committee’s venue at the Javits Building, chanting and holding signs against Jim Jordan. Congressman Nadler and NYC Mayor Eric Adams denounced the hearing as a political stunt to protect Donald Trump, while Democrats argued that the hearing was not their jurisdiction and accused the GOP of staging a sham hearing.
