More than 6 billion gallons of water are lost in America each day due to aging infrastructure. Many of our airports are outdated and operating well over capacity. Our roads, highways, and bridges are badly in need of repair. We are currently in a race with China to control our own communication capabilities. Today’s investment in (and modernization of) American infrastructure is imperative to increasing long-term savings and improving efficiency. Further, a purposeful move to rebuild our infrastructure will ignite investment from state and local governments, as well as from private investors. Renewing America’s highways, bridges, airports, water infrastructure, and more will create thousands of American jobs. Finally, control of our communication infrastructure is vital to our security. America’s economy is growing but our commerce needs the means to move.
