The National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1991 by breast cancer survivor Janelle Hail, who was first diagnosed with the disease in 1980 at age 34. At the time, she found the information available to her and other women seeking treatment was limited. She established NBCF to fill this void, and for nearly three decades, the Foundation has been dedicated to early detection of breast cancer and education about the disease.
