The Democratic Party’s Election Fraud Hypocrisy

As Inauguration Day quickly approaches, President Trump’s efforts to secure a second term, and maintain election integrity, have proven unsuccessful. While Democrats’ cries of outrage over the Trump administrations lawsuits continue, they seem to have forgotten that their party did the same over the past two decades.

In the years 2001, 2015, and 2017, Democrats challenged electoral votes following the inauguration of three GOP presidents. Despite this, Democratic politicians and anti-Trumpers alike have chastised the president and other Republicans who believe election fraud took place. Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) for example, deemequestioning election results “grossly irresponsible” and an attempt “to undermine our democratic process.”

The worries of Sen. Van Hollen and countless others have been completely blown out of proportion. The Constitution states that Congress must confirm election results regardless of the victor after allNo harm can possibly come from simply ensuring election security and that future elections will be secure as well. Even if Democrats refuse to acknowledge their past actions and current hypocrisythe rest of America must remain steadfast in fighting for an honest election.
