During his first days as President of the United States, Joe Biden has signed a number of executive orders to undo the supposed “damage” of Donald Trump. The Biden team works to push the Democratic agenda wherever it can. Most recently, this came from the Department of Homeland Security, which sent a memorandum instructing immigration and border enforcement to ignore the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). It effectively violates the law by forcing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers to go against their oaths to protect the country and enforce border regulations.
The memo makes it so anyone who entered the United States prior to Nov. 1, 2020 can’t be removed. While immigrants connected with terrorism are an exception, those involved with rape, murder or other felonies are not. This is baffling, especially when more than 374,000 criminal convictions were documented among people deported by ICE in 2020 alone. Along with these instructions, Congress slashed more than $300 million in funding for ICE. This greatly affects the number of criminals they can detain due to limited facility capacity, which is especially harmful as COVID cases rise.
While President Trump had a strong stance on border control and security, President Biden is loosening security at the border and making border states less safe. The only things his actions will create is a rising influx of criminals into the country that threatens America’s safety. The worst is yet to come for a border that will soon be out of control thanks to President Biden.
