Even Democratic members of Congress are calling Gov. Andrew Cuomo out for his mishandling of nursing home patients during the beginning of the pandemic. Fox News reports that Rep. Antonio Delgado, D-N.Y., is calling for a federal investigation into nursing home deaths after Cuomo’s aide, Melissa DeRosa, admitted the governor lied about numbers.
Gov. Cuomo under-reported the number of nursing home deaths by as much as 50 percent. It seems that Cuomo did not want his nursing home disaster to affect the sales of his book: American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
