One of the most interesting public policy developments of the last 24 hours is the report that nine New York public health officials have quit over Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic. The upper echelon of the New York public health system is repudiating Cuomo. For the first time — I think since President Trump is no longer the center of news — you are beginning to see the news media look at Gov. Cuomo negatively.

The recent story from Fox News that President Joe Biden has picked someone to run a White House program who presided over a $600 million loss to fraud is just amazing.

In its first presidential daily tracking poll, Rasmussen Reports shows that Biden gets 48 percent approval rating versus 45 percent disapproving. It tells me that people have already seen through the inaugural address – and that he’s not unifying, and his position will be left-wing.

Early decisions by President Biden are not popular with Americans or his party.
